Nancy has created a travel/painting book, featuring work inspired the region of Italy known as “Ciociaria.” Located in the Apennines about 40 miles southeast of Rome, Ciociaria is where her grandparents came from, and where many cousins on her father’s side live today. “Viaggio in Ciociaria” is available on Blurb.com.
The painting “Hommelville Barn” won the Carver Memorial Prize at the Southwest Artists Association’s National Juried Exhibit, Art of the Heartland in Mena Arkansas in 2017.
In 2016 Nancy’s work was accepted into regional and national exhibits. In August, she was awarded 1st prize in the Chico California Art Center’s National All-Media juried exhibit for her painting, below, entitled “West Saugerties Waterfall” (22×30, oil on paper, 2016).
In July her piece, “Little Street Piglio” (oil on canvas, 24×20, 2015) was accepted into the Cooperstown, NY, Art Association’s National Exhibit. The work was also accepted into “Far and Wide,” the annual regional exhibit at the Woodstock Artists Assn and Museum, Woodstock, NY.
In May, “West Saugerties Winter” (oil on panel, 24×30, 2014) was awarded the Hannah-Lee Stokes Memorial Prize at “Essential Art” the Cooperstown, NY regional exhibit.
